'A Murmuration of Starlings'
A MURMURATION OF STARLINGS is the debut solo piano album performed and composed by Sandie Middleton. With sparkling harmonies, swirling textures, and sweeping melodies her music is evocative of birds, water, and natural and emotional landscapes. Recorded in the wonderful St Georges' Hall, Bristol, by Daniel Inzani, the album was released in July 2022 and is available as a physical CD or as a digital download from my Shop.

'The February sky stretches wide above the flat Somerset marshes, the air crisp and chill. At dusk the starlings gather, flying in groups of 10, 20, 50, until the whole sky is filled with a mesmerising, swirling, swooping dance: A Murmuration of Starlings. As darkness descends, the birds dip down, settling on the marshes to roost for the night.'
